Job Description:

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist for our team; this is a community role. The psychiatrist would work 2 outpatient clinics a week in addition to one clinic. The successful candidate needs to be flexible as the role includes home visits. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need. The position is a full-time locum job available for an initial period starting immediately for an initial period of 1 month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients within the community.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Offer leadership and support to junior medical staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives, working towards delivering high-quality mental health services.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in General Adult Psychiatry within a community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
