Job summary

RJC Group in London is seeking a GenAI Engineer to join its growing AI team. You will develop platform capabilities for LLM applications and enterprise knowledge solutions while defining AI standards and governance.

You will design agentic workflows, set tool contracts and routing standards, and build reusable components, APIs and libraries for multiple engineering teams, ensuring production-quality delivery and observability.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering LLM-based applications or AI platforms in production.
• Python-based API/service development, ideally with async frameworks.
• Agent frameworks and orchestration tools — LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar.
• LLM evaluation, observability, tracing and regression testing.
• Cloud deployment and containerised production AI service.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across the full production lifecycle.
• Degree in computer science, ML, AI, data science, math, stats or related field — or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop shared platform capabilities for LLM applications, agentic systems and enterprise knowledge solutions.
• Define reference architectures, engineering standards and implementation patterns for GenAI applications.
• Design agentic workflows that safely interact with internal APIs, databases, search systems and third‑party services.
• Set standards for tool contracts, structured outputs, context management, prompting, model selection and routing.
• Build reusable components, APIs and libraries for other engineering teams.
• Evaluate LLM, retrieval and agent performance via automated metrics, test datasets and regression testing.
• Guide decisions on model quality, latency, cost, observability and operational resilience.
