Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking an AI Software Developer for a London-based contract role. You will work on Gen AI powered software, focusing on Python and JavaScript, in a hybrid setup with 3 days on site per week.

The position is 6–12 months, start ASAP, day rate £500–£800 inside IR35. You will write clean code, test, deploy AI solutions, collaborate with engineers, product teams and AI specialists to deliver scalable, secure and observable applications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience with exposure to AI/ML projects.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript, with hands-on experience in Gen AI proofs of concept or LLm API integration.
• Familiarity with AI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Databricks.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and tools.
• Experience in agile development and collaborative delivery.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Code development and testing: write, test, and maintain Python/JavaScript code and Gen AI services.
• AI feature integration: work with cross-functional teams to deploy AI models with scalable, secure delivery.
• Continuous learning: stay updated on AI/ML tech and adopt new tools in agile sprints.
