Gearbox Mechanic/Technician

Location: Northampton
Based on: 40 hrs pw.
Wages: Negotiable

Overview:

ACE Gearboxes Ltd has over 40 years of experience in repairing manual reconditioned gearboxes, axles, and differentials for cars, light commercials, and 4x4s. We are seeking a Gearbox Mechanic/Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining gearboxes.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspect, diagnose, and repair gearbox issues.
2. Test and troubleshoot gearbox components to identify and resolve issues.
3. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when working on gearboxes.
5. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely repairs.

Qualifications:

1. Full training will be given.
2. Mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
3. Good physical condition and strength to handle heavy equipment and tools.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Driving license is an advantage but not essential.
