Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Gearbox Fitter (Mechanical) in Reading. You will fault find, test, strip down and assemble industrial gearboxes and motors, with extensive on-the-job training.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with excellent overtime rates and a strong pension contribution, 34 days holiday and a company bonus. Salary £30,000-£35,000 with OTE £41,000.

Qualifications

• Experience working with motors or gearboxes or similar mechanical equipment.
• Strong mechanical fitter background with hands-on assembly skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to extensive on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, stripping down, testing and assembling of equipment.
• Working on industrial gearboxes and motors to diagnose issues.
• Extensive training on specialist equipment and processes.
