Job summary

ARAG plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Protection Advisor to support the Data Protection Team Leader in ensuring GDPR compliance across the group. You will handle Data Subject Rights requests and maintain the SDR log while assisting with audits, breach investigations and DPIAs.

The role offers hybrid working after training, with a focus on timely responses, stakeholder liaison and robust data protection practices.

Qualifications

Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation.
Experience within a data protection role.
Experience in handling Data Subject Right requests.
Evidence of effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to be organised in planning activities and assisting others.
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
Tenacious and effective approach to exceeding targets.
Ability to deliver when working with ambiguity and change.

Responsibilities

Assist the Data Protection Team Leader to ensure GDPR compliance across the Group.
Complete Data Subject Rights Requests and maintain the SDR log.
Support audits, breach investigations and DPIA assessments.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to maintain Records of Processing Activities.
Assist with monitoring plans, timetables and data protection activities.
Investigate data breaches identified within the business and with data processors.
Ensure timely responses to Data Rights requests within regulatory requirements.
