GDASS Mental Health Floating Support Worker

Location: Gloucester

Salary: £24,139.50 (+ £750 Car Allowance) per annum - depending on skills and experience

Contract type: Temporary - June 2025

About the role

Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord), GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.

In addition to support services, GDASS also operates a helpline.

You will give practical, emotional support to people at standard and medium risk of domestic abuse using inpatient and community Mental Health Services.

You will support the GDASS Mental Health IDVA with training delivery to professionals within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, to help them identify domestic abuse and respond effectively.

Please note: Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check. Further details will be provided after an offer is made.

About you

You must have excellent knowledge of domestic abuse legislation.

You should have experience managing complex and sensitive customer queries, remaining calm with emotional or distressed individuals, and experience of DASH completion.

You need to handle a demanding workload, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail.

An understanding of confidentiality and adherence to policies and procedures is essential.

You will provide support and advocacy to clients at standard and medium risk of domestic abuse.
