Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a tutor to support a Year 11 student in a school-based setting in Blandford Forum. The role offers 6 hours per week across Maths, English and/or Science, focusing on re-engagement and GCSE preparation.

The student has SEN needs and ADHD/Autism assessments are ongoing. We welcome tutors who are patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships to support consistent 1:1 learning.

Qualifications

• Experience tutoring secondary students (Year 11) in a school setting.
• Patience and adaptability to support a learner with SEN needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships and engage the learner effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 tutoring in Maths, English and/or Science as available.
• Support GCSE preparation and re-engagement with learning.
• Coordinate with the school to fit a flexible timetable (6 hours/week).

We are looking for a tutor to support a Year 11 student within a school setting for 6 hours per week- Blandford Forum.

We welcome tutors who can deliver Maths, English and/or Science. If you are only confident in one subject, please still get in touch as we can use multiple tutors for this learner.

The student has experienced barriers to education and would benefit from consistent 1:1 support to help improve engagement, build confidence, and prepare for GCSEs. The student has additional needs and would suit a tutor who is patient, adaptable and able to build positive relationships.This student is is currently on the SEN register for social and emotional needs. She has been referred for assessments for ADHD and Autism and an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment has been submitted to the local authority.
