Job Title: English and Maths GCSE SEN Outreach Tutor

Location: East of England, Essex, Hatfield Peverel

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Job Duties:
  • Provide individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in English and Maths GCSE subjects
  • Create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the unique learning needs of each student
  • Deliver engaging and interactive teaching sessions both in person and online
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using technology for online teaching
  • Experience in conducting assessments and creating individual education plans
Working Conditions:
  • Part-Time hours, flexibility required to meet student needs
  • Work may involve travel to different locations within the East of England (learners homes, local libraries and schools)
