Job summary

Our client school in Peterborough is seeking an inspiring GCSE Photography teacher to deliver engaging lessons, guide students through research, practical work and portfolio development, and ensure they are well prepared for Components 1 and 2. You will manage the studio, digital suite and equipment to create a safe, creative and high‑performing learning environment.

A degree in Photography or Fine Art and a recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE) are desirable; candidates with strong

A recognised teaching qualification (QTS / PGCE) is highly desirable; strong subject-specialist experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

GCSE Delivery: Plan and teach comprehensive lessons covering digital photography, lighting, composition, and digital workflow tailored to the GCSE criteria.
Portfolio Development: Guide students in building high-quality physical or digital portfolios, emphasising critical analysis and contextual understanding.
Studio Management: Oversee the school's digital suite and equipment inventory, ensuring a safe and inspiring learning environment.
Assessment & Feedback: Provide constructive feedback in line with exam board assessment objectives to help students maximise their potential.
