GCSE Maths Teacher - Alternative Provision
Location: Nottingham (NG5)
Daily Rate: 180 - 250 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only, Long Term to Permanent
Start Date: September 2025
Interviews/Trial Days: Taking place ASAP

Long Term Futures are seeking a committed and passionate GCSE Maths Teacher to join a specialist setting in Nottingham (NG5). This provision supports students aged 13-16 (KS3 and KS4) who are unable to access mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional or social challenges. You'll play a crucial role in helping students re-engage with learning.

This is a full-time position beginning in September 2025, with interviews and trial days taking place ASAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging GCSE maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs across KS3 and KS4
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students, guiding them to take responsibility for their learning and behaviour
  • Use assessment and progress tracking to inform and adjust teaching strategies
  • Collaborate with behaviour mentors and support staff to deliver behaviour support
  • Develop students' numeracy skills and work with them toward achieving GCSE accreditation

Role Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (or eligible for QTS) and GCSE maths teaching experience
  • Proven ability to manage classes and support learners with challenging behaviours
  • Strong communicator with empathy and patience
  • Resilient professional committed to making a real difference
