Job summary

East Lancashire Learning Group is seeking an experienced Maths Lecturer to join our English and Maths Division on a part-time 0.6 FTE basis, primarily at Accrington and Rossendale College. The post involves delivering GCSE and Functional Skills Maths to help students unlock their potential and achieve better outcomes.

You will plan lessons, develop schemes of work, and use engaging methods to improve retention, attendance and success rates, contributing to an outstanding teaching team committed

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching GCSE maths in FE or secondary settings.
• Teaching qualification required.
• Degree in Maths or related subject, or degree with A Level Maths.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Passion for the subject and ability to inspire students.
• Experience with Functional Skills is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and teaching resources.
• Build strong relationships with learners to raise retention and attendance.
• Contribute to curriculum design to meet student needs and enable progression.
