Job description

We are recruiting for Fully Qualified Teachers, HLTA, SEN and SEMH specialists, for GCSE Intervention Tutor roles in High Ongar and surrounding areas.

In this role you will:

  1. Plan your own tuition sessions in English and Maths, following the UK curriculum.
  2. Create stimulating resources tailored towards individual learners’ abilities, needs and interests.
  3. Deliver sessions on a 1:1 or group basis, in learners’ homes, care homes or local libraries.
  4. Generate Ed Place Assessments to gauge learners’ current levels and identify gaps in their understanding.
  5. Use our reporting platform (LEAP) to record sessions, monitor progress and attendance.
  6. Report any safeguarding concerns to your Teaching Personnel consultant.

You must:

  1. Have at least 2 years’ experience, teaching the UK curriculum.
  2. Be able to plan sessions and create resources independently.
  3. Have experience working with young people with SEN or SEMH needs.
  4. Build a rapport with young people to create a safe learning environment and a holistic approach to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
