Job description

Protocol is working closely with a Further Education provider based in Staffordshire in their search for an experienced Functional Skills Maths Tutor to deliver functional skills maths to service users across a range of levels within a prison.

The role:

This role offers full-time hours on a permanent basis.

Salary – £30,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience.

You will be working within the prison’s Functional Skills department, training and assessing students on their courses of study. Responsibilities include delivering education and training to high standards, preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work, and conducting tutorials and assessments to ensure each student achieves their best during their time as a service user.

The person:

We seek individuals passionate about delivering Functional Skills, aiding in the rehabilitation of service users, and who have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The candidate should have experience working with students or apprentices in a college or educational setting, be upbeat, motivational, and knowledgeable in the subject area to educate and inspire learners.
