Join Our Team as a 1:1 Tutor - Make a Meaningful Impact on a Child's Education

Teaching Personnel is committed to delivering high-quality, tailored 1:1 tuition to young people currently outside of formal education. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate tutors who are passionate about supporting learners with diverse and often complex needs.

This is an opportunity to make a real difference-providing personalised support to pupils who face significant barriers to education.

About the Role

As a 1:1 tutor, you will work with students in their homes or local community settings. These learners are not currently in school and require bespoke educational support to help them re-engage with learning and reach their full potential.

Our pupils present with a range of needs, including:

  • Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)such as Autism, ADHD, and general learning difficulties

  • Children in Carerequiring catch-up support due to disrupted education

  • School-refusing pupilsor those experiencing significantmental health challenges

  • Young people excludedfrom mainstream school settings

Requirements

  • QTS, QTLS, is preferred but not a must

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs

  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, individualised lessons

  • Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a supportive approach

  • Understanding of and respect for the varied backgrounds of the students and families we support
