About the Role

As a GCSE English Tutor, you will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to build their confidence, improve their skills, and prepare them for their exams. You'll be responsible for creating engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each student, covering both Language and Literature where needed.

Requirements

• A strong academic background in English (degree or relevant qualification preferred)

• In-depth knowledge of the GCSE English curriculum (AQA, Edexcel, or other exam boards)

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience (online or in-person)

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for education

Desirable

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE

• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

• Familiarity with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
