Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a mainstream college in Warwickshire to recruit an experienced GCSE English Teacher on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year. You will deliver GCSE English with passion, following the college schemes of learning and supporting learners to achieve excellent results.

The role requires a first-class or 2:1 English degree, QTS/PGCE/DTTLS and experience in education, plus strong communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• A first class or 2:1 degree in English.
• QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment.
• Experience teaching young people in a diverse setting.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• SEND and Safeguarding experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE English to students in a further educational environment.

• Follow and implement the schemes of learning as provided by the college.

The Head Teacher is looking to take on an experienced GCSE English Teacher, on a Long-Term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful GCSE English Teacher will be teaching students in a subject they are passionate to learn and inspiring them to study at a higher level thereafter. The role will be paramount in helping learners achieve excellent results, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

The successful GCSE English Teacher will have:

• A first class or 2:1 degree in English
• QTS, PGCE or DTTLS and experience in a further educational environment
• Experience in teaching young people in a diverse setting.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• SEND and Safeguarding experience is desirable
