Job summary

Dovetail & Slate is seeking an enthusiastic English Lecturer to support learners in GCSE English and Functional Skills, with a focus on numeracy integration for vocational learners. The role is full-time and permanent, based at the Northampton campus, with a commitment to high-quality teaching and learner progression.

You will plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons, track progress, and collaborate with vocational teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience teaching GCSE English in FE or secondary education.
• Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and support learners, particularly those in vocational programmes.

Salary: £36,217 - £43,197 per annum (dependent on experience)
