Job summary

National Gas is seeking a talented GCP Cloud Engineer to join our Systems Engineering team in Warwick. You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure across GCP and Azure, with a strong emphasis on IaC and DevSecOps practices.

You will drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and governance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency across national cloud environments. Hybrid working arrangements apply.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with Azure, GCP and Terraform in multi-cloud/hybrid setups.
• Proficient with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and IaC tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage multi-region cloud environments on GCP and Azure.
• Develop secure landing zones with automation and policy guardrails.
• Implement advanced networking, security controls, and IaC pipelines.
• Lead CI/CD pipelines and GitOps for automated deployments.
• Collaborate with DevOps/SRE to embed security into the SDLC.
• Monitor cost, performance, and reliability of cloud workloads.
