Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a GCLP-Biobank Laboratory Coordinator to support high‑quality processing of clinical trial samples. The role sits within RADSS, collaborating with clinical teams and researchers across multiple sites in the Royal Free group.

You will handle blood, biopsies and other samples in a compliant laboratory environment, maintain LIMS records, and assist in data collection and QA activities while contributing to patient‑centered research across NHS

Qualifications

• Degree in a scientific/healthcare discipline or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of CPD/ongoing professional development.
• Experience handling human materials in clinical or research labs.
• Knowledge of GCLP, ICH and HTA guidelines.
• Experience using LIMS for sample tracking and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Assist collection and processing of clinical trial samples (blood, biopsy, saliva, stool) for research.
• Ensure samples are received, booked into LIMS, processed and stored per SOPs and governance requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the GCLP-Biobank team and studies; participate in audits and quality control.
