Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic GCLP-Biobank Laboratory Coordinator to support research-active clinical teams. The role sits within RADSS, collaborating with TAPB and the Trust Biobank, handling sample processing, LIMS booking, and regulatory compliance.

You will work across Hampstead and other RFL Trust sites, contributing to high-impact NHS research by ensuring samples are collected, processed, stored, and documented in line with SOPs and HTA/ICH governance.

Qualifications

• Assist with collection and processing of clinical trial samples (Blood, Biopsy, Saliva, Stool) for research purposes.
• Book samples onto LIMS and ensure traceability.
• Biological sample processing and storage in accordance with GCLP-Biobank SOPs.
• Assist in data collection and inputs into LIMS; provide admin support to the GCLP-Biobank Team.
• Participate in laboratory audits, IQC, and stock management.
• Liaise with clinical teams, researchers and trial staff on-site in Hampstead and across RFL Trusts.

Responsibilities

• Support collection and processing of trial samples per SOPs.
• Book samples onto LIMS and track status.
• Biological processing and proper storage of samples.
• Assist data entry into LIMS and admin tasks for the team.
• Participate in audits and maintain quality controls.
