Position: Complex Carer
Location: Thetford, Norfolk
Hours: 12 hours shifts - days & nights available
Hourly Rate: £15 - £18 per hour

Role Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Complex Carer to provide dedicated support for a client in Thetford, Norfolk. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the client’s well-being, independence, and quality of life. This role requires expertise in gastrostomy care and a caring, professional approach to meet the client's specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and assistance tailored to the client's individual needs.
  • Administer gastrostomy care, ensuring all procedures are performed safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and manage the client's health and well-being, reporting any concerns to relevant parties.
  • Assist with mobility, daily activities, and fostering independence where possible.
  • Maintain accurate records of care and follow all health and safety guidelines.
  • Build a positive and trusting relationship with the client and their family.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a complex care setting, with specific expertise in gastrostomy care.
  • A caring and empathetic nature with a professional and patient demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and follow care plans with precision.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care (NVQ Level 2 or above preferred).
  • Up-to-date training in gastrostomy care (essential).
  • Flexibility to adjust hours during term and non-term times.
