Job description

GLOBAL MARKETS OPERATIONS

Global Market Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted organization partnering with all parts of the firm to provide banking and securities services to clients worldwide. It also offers essential risk management and controls to safeguard and enhance the firm's assets and reputation. Operations develops and manages processes and controls for every new product launch and trade within Global Markets.

Liquidity Trade Management Operations supports Repo Trading and Sales desks with post- and pre-trade services, including trade booking, risk management, confirmation, pre-matching, and fails management. The team handles exception detection, research, resolution, and escalation of position and cash differences across trader’s front-end books, as well as client, broker, and inter-company accounts.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  1. Middle Office support for Short Term Interest Rates & Treasury Services desks.
  2. Coordinate with internal groups (Credit, Sales, Trading, Middle Office, Legal, Front Office, Settlements, Corporate Treasury) and interact heavily with external clients.
  3. Analyze risk exposure of unbooked, unmatched, or pending trades.
  4. Reconcile daily positions between trading accounts and Books & Records.
  5. Process electronic and manual client allocations and affirmations.
  6. Develop and re-engineer processes to meet evolving business needs.
  7. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of front-end trading and sales bookings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. Relevant operational management experience with a proven record of managing multiple processes and driving change.
  3. Strong communication skills for effective interaction across all levels and regions.
  4. Influencing skills to resolve issues, control risks, and enhance operational efficiency.
  5. Problem-solving skills with clarity in communication with business partners.
  6. Highly organized with attention to detail and strong execution skills.
  7. Experience working with business and technology teams to develop functional specifications.
  8. Team-oriented leader with innovative problem-solving abilities.
  9. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is advantageous.
  10. Knowledge of Securities, Interest Rates, or Repo products is an advantage.
