British Cycling invites a Doctor on the GMC Specialist Register in Sport and Exercise Medicine to join the Great Britain Cycling Team. You will deliver high-quality medical care, prioritise rider health, and ensure compliance with UCI/UKAD/WADA while contributing to cutting-edge cycling medicine research.

You will support coaches and performance staff, liaise with safeguarding and other NGBs, and work with the Chief Medical Officer to deliver medically robust athletes for international

• Registered doctor with GMC in Sport & Exercise Medicine.
• Experience working in elite sport.
• Excellent organisational, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to cover international competition.
• Interest in advancing cycling medicine research.

Responsabilidades

• Delivering high-quality medical care in line with GMC, CQC and FSEM guidance.
• Ensuring rider health and well-being is central to daily practice.
• Ensuring compliance with UCI, UKAD and WADA policies.
• Active involvement in rider health and medical research initiatives (concussion, cardiac screening, female athlete health).
• Supporting coaches and performance staff in delivering medically robust athletes to competition environments.
• Liaison with BC Safeguarding Team as required.
• Liaison with other NGBs re medical policies/procedures to share best practices.
• Liaison with DCMS as required.
• Supporting the Chief Medical Officer in duties and accountabilities.

Now is an incredibly exciting year to join the Great Britain Cycling Team, fresh off the back of winning 11 Olympic and 22 Paralympic medals at the most recent Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, as well as having recently celebrated 20 years of the GBCT pathway.

What will you be doing?

• Delivering the highest quality medical care in accordance with all GMC, CQC and FSEM guidance.
• Ensuring rider health and well-being is at the core of your working ethos every day.
• Ensuring compliance with all UCI, UKAD and WADA policies.
• Active involvement in all GBCT rider health and medical research initiatives - including but not limited to concussion, cardiac screening and female athlete health
• Supporting coaches and other performance support staff in delivering healthy, medically robust athletes to their competition environments.
• Liaison with BC Safeguarding Team as required
• Liaison with other NGBs re. medical policies/procedures to ensure best practices are employed within BC and a shared knowledge hub created
• Liaison with DCMS as required
• Supporting the Chief Medical Officer in the delivery of their duties and accountabilities as required.
