Job description

CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island). Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course-by-course basis; a strong academic background is required.

Adjunct Faculty: Welding Technologies

Example: The instructor will be responsible for helping to prepare and teach a 16-week course.

Course: WELD100G

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.

The compensation rate is $850-$1000 per contact hour [or $47.95 - $59.45 per clinical rate per hour if applicable]. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

Minimum Qualifications For The Position Are As Follows

Education: Associate's Degree or Welding Certificate

Experience: Ex. 5 years

• Experience in all major welding processes, including but not limited to Oxy-Fuel, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc, Flux Core, and Aluminum in all positions.
• Knowledge and ability with code welding procedures and specifications.
• Ability to read blueprints with a strong mathematics background.
• Experience with fabrication, equipment, and other tools of the trade
• Possess leadership skills with a focus on safety
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
