Job description

Salary: £30,437.50 a year

Location: Stoke on Trent

Hours per week: 37.5

Contract type: Permanent

This is a permanent, salaried vacancy that will close in 24 days at 23:59 BST.

The role

As a Gateway Team Leader, you will lead, manage, and develop a team of Gateway Coordinators representing the Destination:Home partnership. You will oversee referrals and allocations into the service and collaborate with partners to ensure adequate provisions for accommodation and support across the service.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and develop the Destination:Home Gateway team to facilitate access to high-quality accommodation and support for customers.
  • Oversee service delivery, including analyzing referrals, managing void property allocations, and monitoring live availability to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Promote the service by attending meetings and forums, engaging with stakeholders, and fostering a partner-wide 'one-team' approach.
  • Drive improvements and safeguard by delivering training and supporting staff development.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience leading a team supporting adults with complex needs such as substance abuse, homelessness, and mental health.
  • Experience liaising with individuals or agencies to achieve effective outcomes.
  • Knowledge of UK housing law, safeguarding, and The Care Act.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous development and openness to feedback.
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle for work purposes.
  • Satisfactory DBS check required every three years.
