Alecto Recruitment is seeking an experienced Gates & Barriers Engineer based in Birmingham to install, service and maintain automatic gates, barriers and access control systems across local commercial and residential sites.

You’ll be working across a varied local area with a well-established company that genuinely invests in its engineers. The role offers a local position with ongoing manufacturer training and clear career progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing and servicing automatic gates and barrier systems.
• Experience with access control systems is highly desirable.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Professional, customer-focused approach with pride in delivering quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing and maintaining automatic gates and barrier systems.
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective repairs.
• Working on access control systems across sites.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining client relationships.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to deliver projects efficiently.
• Participating in on-call rota as required.

What You’ll Be Doing
