Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a reliable Gateman for a construction site in Widnes. The role manages site access, signs personnel in/out, and directs vehicles. The contract lasts one month with a CIS rate and routine Monday-to-Friday hours from 07:30 to 16:30.

The ideal candidate will hold a Banksman ticket and have prior site experience, be registered for CIS, and wear full 5-point PPE while maintaining safety and compliance on site.

Qualifications

• Gateman/Traffic Marshal on a construction site is required.
• Registered for CIS (Construction Industry Scheme).
• Full 5-point PPE (hard hat, high-vis, steel-toe boots, gloves, glasses).
• Eligible to live/work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage the site gate and control access for vehicles, operatives and visitors.
• Sign personnel in and out to maintain accurate fire registers.
• Direct plant and delivery vehicles safely at the entrance.
• Keep the entrance clear, safe and secure at all times.
• Communicate effectively with site management and drivers.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a reliable and vigilant Gateman to manage site access for a construction project in Widnes. This is a 1-month contract starting on Thursday the 29th, offering a competitive CIS rate and consistent Monday-to-Friday hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the site gate and controlling access for all vehicles, operatives, and visitors.
• Signing personnel in and out of the site to ensure accurate fire registers.
• Directing plant and delivery vehicles safely in and out of the site entrance.
• Ensuring the site entrance remains clear, safe, and secure at all times.
• Communicating effectively with site management and delivery drivers.

Requirements:

• Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman ticket (Highly preferred).
• Previous experience working as a Gateman or Traffic Marshal on a construction site.
• Registered for CIS (Construction Industry Scheme).
• Full 5-point PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe cap boots, gloves, and glasses).
• Excellent communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
