Job description

Job Title: Gateline Assistant

As a Gateline Assistant, you will work with the station team to deliver a safe and welcoming experience for all customers.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Being the first point of contact for customers, providing information and assistance with tickets to help them travel confidently.
  2. Ensuring the safe operation of ticket gates and managing customer flow during busy times.
  3. Helping direct and inform customers during disruptions to ensure safety and clarity.

Requirements:
  • Organised, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of handling repetitive tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent communicator who enjoys engaging with people.
  • Confident in approaching and talking to new people.
  • Passionate about customer service and doing the right thing.

Applicants requiring a visa must have at least 6 months remaining at the time of appointment. Full-time training is provided, and commitment to this is required.

Working Pattern:

Our services operate daily (except Christmas Day). You will need to work shifts at various times, including early mornings and weekends. The typical schedule is 30 hours per week over 5 days, usually Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 12:00.
