Job description
Overview

Gastroenterology Registrar to join a team of Gastroenterologists based at Central Middlesex Hospital. This full time post would suit a registrar who seeks a challenge in providing excellent Gastroenterology and Hepatology inpatient care, delivering an outpatient service, and developing skills in endoscopy.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake two out-patient clinics per week and conduct ward rounds with consultant supervision.
  • Have one training endoscopy list per week.
  • Support the acute gastroenterology service and join two other Deanery appointed registrars working in the service.
  • Be part of a team including 2 SHOs and 3 FY1 doctors; receive educational supervision.
  • Support and participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics and endoscopy lists as required.
  • Where appropriate, access training in hepatology, nutrition, endoscopy, etc., depending on interests and service needs.
