Description

This position involves working collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being, practicing thoughtfully with consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities. The role requires active participation in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management and utilizing quality improvement tools to enhance patient care, outcomes, and workflows. There may also be opportunities to participate in peer review and quality assurance.

Job Requirements:
  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, or foreign equivalent from an approved medical school.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Fellowship in Gastroenterology or Pediatric Gastroenterology.
  • Less than 2 years of demonstrated experience in the specialty.
  • Licensed Physician - MN Board of Medical Practice upon hire.
  • ACLS/BLS Tier 3 certification upon hire.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology or Pediatric Gastroenterology upon hire.
  • Drug Enforcement Agency Certificate upon hire.
Physical Demands:

Medium Work: Lifting up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently, following Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy.
