Job summary

SGS is seeking a Gas Testing Engineer to conduct onsite gas testing and sample collection across North London and East Anglia. You will work at customer sites, analyze results, and produce technical reports to support compliance and operational performance.

Ideal candidates have a hands-on testing background, driving license, and the ability to travel regularly. The role offers weekday hours, field-based duties, and opportunities to develop within a global testing, inspection and certification

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical role involving field work and reporting.
• Experience in testing, inspection, lab, engineering or environmental contexts is preferred.
• Attention to detail with practical, hands-on approach is essential.
• Good communication and report-writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite gas testing and analysis at customer sites.
• Collect gas and environmental samples for laboratory analysis.
• Label, prepare and dispatch samples; adhere to quality procedures.
• Review analytical results and compile clear customer reports.
• Use testing equipment on-site; build strong customer relations.
• Travel within North London, South East and East Anglia regional areas.
