Job summary

Together Housing Group in the Yorkshire and Humber region is recruiting a Gas Technician to service heating and hot water systems in tenanted and vacant properties. The role follows a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with day shifts on weekdays and weekend coverage.

You will work across South Yorkshire, carry out repairs, maintain safety standards and support apprentices while ensuring customer care and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license and ACS gas accreditations (CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1, UDHW).
• Experience with repairs, maintenance and servicing of domestic gas appliances.
• Experience of working with tenants, building repairs and ensure safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs on heating and hot water systems in tenanted and vacant properties.
• Work to job tickets, time slots, specifications and drawings with right-first-time ethos.
• Record tasks and certificates; procure materials and manage safety at sites.
• Assess risks before works; protect tenants’ belongings and maintain customer care.
• Diagnose repair actions and multi-skill across related gas trades.
• Collaborate with team to maximise jobs completed in a single visit.
• Support trainees and apprentices and uphold company codes of conduct.
