Job summary

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, is seeking a self-motivated Project Manager to oversee gas suppression system projects from design through commissioning and handover. The role requires proactive coordination with clients, suppliers, design engineers, and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

You will manage health and safety on site, prepare progress reports, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-order to warranty period.

Responsibilities

• To expertly handle gas suppression installation contracts from initial enquiry through to final accounts.
• Assume full financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably, including responsibility for raising purchase and subcontract orders.
• Effectively manage the installation work on site; attending regular client meetings; health and safety responsibilities; producing progress updates and reports; and completing quality assurance checks.
• Prepare and communicate detailed programmes of work to ensure deadlines and contract requirements are met.
• Liaise with suppliers, design engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery and information flow, and report to clients and governing bodies as necessary.
• Negotiate, monitor, and produce quotations for contract variations.
• Highlight possible problem areas early and obtain commercial advice where necessary.
• Prepare technical reports and submittals including operating and maintenance manuals and handover documents.
• Identify and report deviations or nonconformities from scope, Standards or contract.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role

The role requires a pro-activ e and pragmatic individual who can work alone and part of a team to collaborate with all relevant contributors for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of the systems with excellent communication and quality results to our customers. The project manager will have direct involvement from pre-order through to final account and warranty period.
