Job summary

Protec Fire and Security Group in London seeks a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Project Manager to lead project engineering and management of new installations and upgrades. The candidate will ensure efficient delivery, manage on-site works, and coordinate with design, manufacturing and other departments to meet programme targets.

You will liaise with clients, oversee budgets, and drive project profitability while maintaining high standards and safety compliance across all stages of delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complete projects from tender to commission.
• Working knowledge of current British Standards.
• Knowledge of Fire Detection and associated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Handle projects from enquiry through final accounts.
• Undertake financial control of projects, ensuring profitability.
• Manage installation works on site while liaising with clients and departments.
• Prepare detailed work programs to meet labour and deadlines.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, design and other departments for timely delivery.
• Negotiate contract variations where required.
• Identify risk areas and obtain contractual guidance; ensure drawings are correct.
• Perform other duties as required.

Protec Fire and Security Group, a Bosch Company, have an opportunity for a Fire Alarm and Security Systems Project Manager in the London area.

Purpose of the post / Job description

To work on the project engineering and management of new Fire Detection and Security installations. With a sound knowledge of past and present Fire Detection and Security systems you will ensure efficient delivery and installation of new projects and upgrades to existing systems.

Responsibilities

• 1. To handle projects from initial enquiry through to final accounts.
• 2. Undertake financial control of projects, delivering the works efficiently and profitably.
• 3. To effectively manage the installation works on site whilst liaising with clients and other departments.
• 4. Prepare detailed work programs to ensure all labour and deadline requirements are met.
• 5. Liaise with manufacturing, design and other relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
• 6. To negotiate contract variations and agree works where required.
• 7. To highlight possible problem areas and obtain commercial contractual advice and ensure contract documentation drawings are correctly designed.
• 8. Any other duties commensurate with your position.

Qualifications
