Job summary

Marlin Selection Recruitment is assisting a leading commodities trading firm in London to recruit a Market Risk Analyst for their Gas & Power team.

You will monitor daily trading activity to ensure risks are captured and within limits, produce timely P&L and valuation reports, and help improve risk frameworks.

Collaborating with traders, finance and risk colleagues, you will build tools and reports to understand market exposures and support strategic performance analysis.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in a middle office, market risk, or product control in commodities.
• Strong understanding of Gas & Power markets.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of data tools (SQL or similar).
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
