Capita seeks a Gas Safety Inspector to ensure compliance with gas safety standards and regulations in London. This role involves conducting inspections, preparing detailed reports, and managing expectations of both consumers and businesses. Candidates must hold valid ACS certifications and possess experience in gas appliance compliance. This opportunity offers competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Execute inspections based on HSE criteria and corporate objectives.
Thoroughly assess compliance with Gas Industry Statutory and Normative documents, as well as internal operating procedures.
Collaborate with registered businesses to address identified defects promptly and in accordance with standards and timelines.
Prepare inspection reports within Service Level Agreements and to the required quality.
Take appropriate action when unsafe gas work is discovered during inspections.
Manage consumer expectations consistently.
Address registered business expectations effectively.
What we’re looking for:
Valid ACS certificates, including CCN1, CENWAT1, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1.
Additional ACS certificates in LPG, Non-Domestic & Catering, LAU1, and DAH1 are highly desirable.
Experience working with various gas appliances or quality control of gas work.
Understanding of Health & Safety, Building Regulations, related codes and normative documents.
Ability to risk assess environments.
Commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD).
Understanding of challenges faced by gas, plumbing, electrical, and H&V installation businesses.
Proficiency in using tools and conducting relevant tests during inspections.
