Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Engineer (Commercial Gas & F-Gas) in Glasgow. The role covers PPM and reactive maintenance across diverse commercial sites, requiring strong gas and F-Gas credentials and a proactive approach to safety and service.

You will service, repair and maintain commercial heating systems, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement while working across offices, retail, industrial and public sector sites.

Qualifications

• Commercial Gas qualifications.
• F-Gas Certification.
• Experience in Facilities Management or commercial building maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial heating systems.
• Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across commercial properties.
• Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
• Service, repair and maintain commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
• Carry out maintenance and minor repairs on air conditioning and HVAC equipment.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Complete statutory inspections and ensure all work complies with current regulations.
• Identify remedial works and provide accurate reports to management.
• Complete all job sheets, service reports and compliance documentation accurately.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Participate in the on-call rota as required.
