Job summary

ITS Property Maintenance are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to service, maintain and install gas appliances across occupied properties in North East London, East London and West Essex. The role requires Gas Safe registration, a full UK driving licence, and 5+ years’ experience in domestic servicing.

You will perform safety checks, boiler servicing, fault-finding and boiler installs, while adhering to Gas Safety regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe Registered (Essential)
• 5+ years' experience in domestic servicing and breakdowns
• Must hold valid qualifications: CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, HTR1, CKR1, CPA1, MET1, WAH1
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence; van and fuel supplied

Responsibilities

• Carry out domestic gas maintenance across occupied/void properties
• Perform gas safety checks (CP12s/LGSRs) in accordance with Gas Safe regulations
• Service, diagnose, and repair boilers and heating systems
• Replace parts and components (pumps, valves, seals, burners)
• Record work on PDA/handheld devices and maintain compliance records
• Liaise with tenants, housing officers, and helpdesk teams to deliver quality service
• Ensure adherence to Gas Safety Regulations and company procedures
• Conduct visual inspections of flues, pipework and ventilation
• Collaborate with planners, supervisors and stores to achieve first-time fixes
