Job description

Job Title: Gas Engineer

Our client is seeking experienced gas engineers to join the maintenance team at the University of Glasgow. The successful candidate will work within outlined SLA's to ensure the upkeep of the University as required, responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and compliance of M&E plant equipment, and fabric services across the site to complete maintenance and reactive repairs on the gas equipment and associated plant on site. Be responsible appointed person for the Gas on the NEC group Contract.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Completing statutory inspection of gas appliances on site and associated plant
2. Completing reactive repairs on gas appliances on site and associated plant
3. Overseeing annual maintenance of the gas network across the group
4. Annual auditing of gas maintenance of all site venues on contract
5. Ensuring all gas certification is up to date
6. Assisting on other jobs within skill set around site as needed
7. Ensuring a professional image is presented to clients and visitors, and ensuring excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times.
8. Ensuring that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and lifelong learning.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. CCN1, CEN1, COCN1, CCCN1, CIGA1, CDGA, CIGA, COMCAT
2. 5-10 years experience in a similar role
3. Experience working on large commercial boilers
4. Experience on other relevant gas systems and equipment
