Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to join the Planned Works division, delivering high-quality gas repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties. The role covers boiler testing, gas pipe alterations, appliance reconnections, and day-to-day fault finding, with safety and regulatory compliance at the forefront.

The position requires Gas Safe Registration and a suite of ACS/CKR1/CCN1/CENWAT/HTR1/CPA1 certifications, plus NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing &

Qualifications

• Experience in domestic gas work and boiler testing.
• Evidence of qualifications or training held is required.
• DBS check will be taken and working in occupied properties.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating and Gas Safe Registration are required.
• Unvented Hot Water, LPG, Oil knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Gas engineer to perform boiler testing, gas pipe alterations, reconnecting appliances, capping off, gas flues following roof replacements and fault finding.
• Conduct gas inspections and produce certificates.
• Work in occupied properties and manage day-to-day tasks from tickets or handheld devices.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and standards.
• Certify all works on the appropriate paperwork.

Location: Stoke office; Site working around Newark & Sherwood area - Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week

This is an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works division, providing high-quality gas repair and replacement services within Social Housing properties

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Experienced Gas Engineer working within the Social Housing sector, works will be boiler testing, gas pipe alterations, reconnecting appliances, capping off, gas flues following roof replacements, fitting various parts and fault finding
• Gas inspections, producing certificates
• Individuals will need to be comfortable undertaking all aspects of domestic gas work including testing.
• The successful candidate must be able to provide evidence of qualifications or training held
• This position require a DBS check
• Certificating all works on the appropriate paperwork.
• Working in occupied properties
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• You will need to hold a minimum of ACS, CKR1, CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1 & CPA1 Certifications.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, Gas Safe Registration
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Knowledge and Qualifications including Unvented Hot Water, LPG, Oil are advantageous
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• Full UK driving license required, DBS check will be taken
