Job summary

Sanctuary is seeking a qualified Gas Engineer to join our Gas Operations team based in Ely, covering Suffolk and surrounding areas. You will service and repair boilers and appliances across our properties, with a company van, tools, iPhone and tablet for scheduling and fault reporting.

The role involves both team and solo work, requires CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3, WRAS certificates, and a valid UK driving licence. 25 days annual leave plus the benefits package are included.

Qualifications

• CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 and WRAS certificates required.
• Proven experience diagnosing faults and implementing solutions.
• Experience in installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault fixing, servicing and maintenance of boilers and appliances.
• Provide accurate, timely information on progress and keep customers informed.
• Respond to complaints and service disruptions to meet customer expectations.
• Resolve problems or trigger the course of action for resolution and keep customers updated.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and replenish stocks as needed.

Gas Engineer

Covering Suffolk and surrounding areas

£42,235 - £44,458 per year

40 hours per week

We are looking for a qualified Gas Engineer to join our Gas Operations team based in Ely. In this role, you will carry out servicing and repairs on a wide range of boilers and appliances in our properties across Suffolk and the surrounding areas. The role will include both team and lone working, and you will be provided with a company van and all the power and essential tools needed for the job. You will also be issued with an iPhone and tablet which are linked to our systems including scheduling and fault reporting.

The role of Gas Engineer will include:

• Carrying out fault fixing, servicing and maintenance duties on range of boilers and appliances
• Providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, Unvented - G3 Certificate, and Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Proven experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Working knowledge of the installation, servicing and maintenance of gas heating systems
• Ability to use and update computerised systems (including PDA) for work scheduling
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
