Job Title: Gas Engineer

Location: Crawley and Brighton

Salary: £43,884 (OTE: £50k)

Call Out Frequency: 1 in 6 weeks

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, with overtime available

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

We are seeking an experienced Gas Engineer to conduct services and repairs on domestic gas appliances within social housing in the Crawley and Brighton areas. With a focus on quality over quantity (6-8 jobs per day), you will enjoy the convenience of a company van and fuel card, and benefit from a supportive work environment that values excellence and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

1. Service and repair domestic gas appliances, including gas boilers and fires
2. Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation
3. Maintain and monitor the supply, stock, and use of materials
4. Participate in an 'out of hours' service rota (currently every 1 in 6 weeks)
5. Act as a liaison between residents and internal teams to promptly resolve any property-related issues
6. Report any non-compliance or process failures to management

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Previous experience as a gas engineer
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Essential qualifications: CCN1, CKR1, CENWAT
4. Experience in domestic or social housing is advantageous
5. Desirable (but not essential): HTR1, CONGLP1PD, Unvented Hot Water Systems
