NES Fircroft are hiring a Gas Coordinator on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas operator, and it’s a cracking opportunity to join their Operations Team based at Bacton.

This isn’t your average desk job — the Gas Coordinator role sits right at the heart of production coordination, business optimisation, and stakeholder communication. You’ll be that vital link between operations, projects, commercial teams, and external partners, playing a critical role in the performance of Southern North Sea operations.

Shift pattern: 7 on / 7 off, 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights — perfect for someone who likes structure and a solid work-life balance.
What we’re looking for:

  • A degree in Maths, Engineering, Physics, or Business Studies (or solid relevant experience to match).
  • Detail-oriented with great problem-solving skills and strong computer literacy.
  • A confident communicator who can manage multiple moving parts and stakeholders.
  • Experience in gas processing or transmission is a plus — but not essential. Full training is provided.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinating production across various gas fields.
  • Making real-time, business-critical decisions.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting for internal, partner, and regulatory needs.
  • Acting as the go-to for partners, operators, and marketing teams.
  • Supporting project development and ongoing business optimisation.

Initial training will take place at the Dimlington terminal near Hull.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to be right in the action, who’s not afraid to take responsibility, and who’s keen to play a key part in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
