Overview

We are currently seeking a new Gas Centre Coordinator to be part of our rapidly growing Engineering, Construction and Building Technologies Directorate. The Gas Centre Coordinator leads the Gas centre, tracks learners' performance, and supports learners to succeed. This role is based at our Ipswich campus; Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, so you may be required to work at and travel between other campuses.

Hours: Up to 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Salary: £39,486 to £44,337 per annum, pro rata if part-time. Plus market forces supplement of £4,383 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. Starting salary subject to college salary assessment process.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the Gas Centre operations and ensure the training environment is safe, suitable for use, and compliant with all relevant legislation.
  • Track learners’ performance and provide targeted support to help students succeed.
  • Act as Lead Internal Verifier for the Gas qualification and maintain CPD in line with role duties.
  • Collaborate with the Director for the area and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
  • Travel between campuses as required by the role.
