JOB1 Gas Breakdown Engineer

Are you an experienced Gas Breakdown Engineer looking for a new challenge? Our client, a well-established Heating and Compliance firm, is seeking skilled professionals to join their team in Stockport and surrounding areas.

Location: Stockport and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: On-target earnings circa GBP50,000 per annum
Benefits: Company van, fuel card & excellent benefits package

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service, repair, and maintain domestic heating systems.
  2. Ensure all work complies with gas safety regulations and specifications.
  3. Deliver excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
  4. Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
  5. Participate in out-of-hours work, including overtime and call-outs.
  6. Adhere to health & safety guidelines and operational procedures.
  7. Report accidents, near-miss events, or hazards.
  8. Work flexibly with a diverse range of customers.

Candidate Requirements:
  1. Relevant craft qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
  2. ACS Qualifications: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT.
  3. LPG and Unvented qualifications (desirable but not essential).
  4. Strong knowledge of gas legislation.
  5. Full UK driving licence.
  6. Awareness of health & safety regulations.
  7. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  8. Strong customer service skills and ability to engage with the public.
  9. Self-motivated and proactive.
  10. Flexibility and adaptability.
