Job summary

Hart Learning & Development, part of North Hertfordshire College, is seeking an enthusiastic Gas Apprenticeship Tutor/Assessor to join our growing team. You will deliver training, coaching and assessment across the Gas Apprenticeship Standard, supporting learners and employers to achieve high-quality outcomes.

This role involves recruitment, induction, progress reviews and workplace assessments, using OneFile to compile portfolios and track progress.

Qualifications

• Gas apprenticeship delivery experience.
• Ability to train, coach and assess.
• Experience conducting progress reviews and setting SMART targets.
• Workplace assessments and portfolio development using OneFile.
• Ability to develop learning plans with employers and monitor progress.
• Support learners in maths, English and wider workplace skills.
• Maintain accurate records in line with funding and quality requirements.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training, coaching and assessment across the Gas Apprenticeship Standard.
• Support learner recruitment, induction and initial assessment activities.
• Conduct progress reviews and set SMART targets to ensure timely achievement.
• Carry out workplace assessments and portfolio completion using OneFile.
• Develop learning plans with employers and monitor apprentice progress.
• Support learners to develop maths, English and wider workplace skills.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with funding and quality requirements.
• Provide guidance and pastoral support to help learners succeed.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with learners and employers.
• Organise and manage a varied caseload.
