Job summary

Emerson in Cumbernauld is seeking an Operations Engineer to help configure, test, validate, and deliver gas analysis systems. You will work with engineering, operations, quality, sales, and service teams to apply technical know-how and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Practical knowledge of measurement instrumentation, analytical systems, or similar technical equipment.
• Experience with gas analysis technologies or comparable technical environments.
• Hands-on configuring, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining, or validating analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for production builds, FAT, and system configuration.
• Configure gas analyzers and systems to meet customer requirements.
• Conduct laboratory testing and validation to support delivery and issue resolution.
• Tackle complex technical challenges in system integration, hardware, and software.
• Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, systems and analytical disciplines to find practical solutions.
• Coordinate with Technical Sales, Operations, Quality, Service for project execution.
• Support diverse applications including hazardous gas environments.
• Investigate escalated issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions.
