GARMENT TECHNOLOGIST/PRODUCT DEVELOPER- LUXURY BABY AND CHILDRENSWEAR

A key role within the product team, you’ll be joining as our Mid-level Garment Technologist/ Product Developer who is responsible for the fit, quality and compliance of our collections in accordance with our critical path. This is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on the department in our small but growing brand and we are looking for someone who is agile and flexible in a fast-paced company.

Previous experience operating as a mid-level Garment Technologist/Product Developer.
Understanding of grading and fitting, creating and adapting spec sheets and an excellent knowledge of garment construction.
Understanding of compliance (US, EU, UAE) for childrenswear product testing and owning compliance requirements for new countries. Ability to understand testing reports and propose required testing for all categories.
Ability to translate fit sessions into clear fit comments for all product stages and communicate directly with the factory to ensure understanding and action.
Ability to juggle multiple seasons at the same time in a fast-paced environment, keeping to agreed deadlines, and ability to constantly re prioritise as required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Working closely with designer/product manager to build spec sheets and grading.
Creating how to measure diagrams and communicating with factories to ensure consistency.
Measuring and fitting all samples across all seasons, making improvements and making comments within the tech packs. Directly communicating with the factories to ensure understanding and action of all comments.
Ensuring that all carry over blocks are approved for all sizes for each factory and build a block library to ensure speedy replen for minimising sampling once in production.
Help to research potential new factories for potential re-sourcing and directly managing the sample approval process for any factory moves.
Evaluate current labelling and packaging procedure. Building processes and manuals for consistency across all suppliers and proposing any required amends needed for product labelling.
Proposing and approving test reports for wash care and carrying out any wear testing.
Logging and analysing any faulty/returns and proposing ways of improvement.
Explore implementation of AQL procedure in factories for quality control.
Communicating with suppliers on development and production. Chasing in sampling and ensuring the critical path is adhered too.
General admin tasks within the department, updating ZEDONK, implementing processes to aid the product team’s collaboration with other departments.
Heavy involvement with all aspects of product within the department where needed.

Hybrid working- Mon-Thurs at the office, Friday from home.
