Job summary

SUCCESS TALENT in Manchester is seeking a Garment Technologist to join their team on a permanent basis. The role requires expertise in measuring, grading, and leading fit sessions, with proficiency in Excel, Illustrator, and PowerPoint.

You will work closely with pattern makers and production teams to ensure quality, fit, and timely delivery of glamorous occasion wear.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Garment Technologist focusing on measuring, grading, and leading fit sessions.
• Proficiency in Excel, Illustrator and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical packs outlining fabric, trims, measurements, and construction details.
• Partner with pattern makers to develop and adjust patterns while preparing workbooks.
• Oversee sample creation, review fit and construction, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in fit sessions to ensure garments meet high standards and maintain key measurements.
• Manage production processes to meet quality standards, deadlines, and cost requirements.
• Identify and resolve issues with garment construction, fabric, or machinery during production.
• Work with production managers and manufacturers to set and monitor production schedules for on-time delivery.
• Track shipment timelines and maintain regular communication with suppliers to meet deadlines.
• Conduct quality inspections on samples and finished garments to ensure they align with standards and specifications.
• Approve size specifications for bulk production and provide clear feedback on fit to suppliers.
• Address high-return styles, collaborate with the product team on solutions, and support resolution initiatives.
